One pilot is reported dead and another injured in the crash of Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo in the Mojave desert in California. The craft crashed shortly after separating from WhiteKnightTwo, which is a plane that takes it to a high altitude before it separates for a rocket-propelled blast to the edge of space. It was the 35th test flight for the experimental craft. Wreckage of SpaceShipTwo is littering an area of the Mojave Desert.
Virgin Galactic is trying to pioneer the business of space tourism. SpaceShipTwo was built to carry six passengers.
